As a metal technology specialist at Gebr. Becker, you will receive practical technical training at our site in Apolda, Thuringia, within an internationally active family-run business. You will learn how metal components are manufactured, machined and assembled, and how technical processes work in a production environment. What to expect from your apprenticeship as a metalworking technician

At the start of your apprenticeship, you’ll acquire fundamental technical knowledge in our in-house training workshop in Apolda. You’ll then deepen your specialist knowledge in the relevant specialist departments. There, you’ll gain hands-on experience and familiarise yourself with various work processes.

Your tasks will include, amongst other things, machining and assembling workpieces, manufacturing metal components, and preparing machines, jigs and tools for assembly. As you gain more experience, you will take on greater responsibility and work more independently.
