Measures to promote equality between men and women
Gender equality is a core component of Gebr. Becker GmbH’s human resources policy. The company advertises all vacancies in a gender-neutral manner and creates attractive working conditions through a wide range of initiatives specifically designed for women with family responsibilities. This includes a proactive approach to part-time work and temporary remote working; furthermore, a flexible working-time system without core hours, combined with time accounts, enables all employees to manage their work-life balance very effectively on their own terms.
Female apprentices are now also represented in every intake of the technical and vocational training programmes.
Measures to achieve equal pay for women and men
Since 2011, Gebr. Becker GmbH has been using an analytical system to evaluate job roles at its German sites. The evaluation is carried out in a person-neutral manner, thereby ensuring that the value of jobs is determined in a gender-neutral way.
Remuneration for roles is also defined in a gender-neutral manner within so-called pay bands; placement within a pay band is determined according to gender-neutral rules agreed with the works council.
The works council receives quarterly lists of gross pay and can thus verify compliance with the applicable regulations.
